hello all ! it`s great you`ve made your way to my site. what i`m trying to do is spread the word of the child soldiers in Uganda. there`s a great organization called the invisible children. they raisemoney for these “invisible” child soldiers and other abducted children that are suffering today. it makes me angry when I think of how much our world is suffering. it really isn`t fair. I know that peace is going to be very hard to achieve in the world, but I believe we can all do our own share to help make the world better for one person at a time. you see those kids? do you know why they`re sleeping outside, on the cold ground ? it`s so that they won`t get abducted. it`s unsafe for them to sleep in their own homes, because there`s a chance they`ll be abducted and taken to train as a soldier. these kids are taken from their homes and trained to kill. whoa. look how bad the world has gotten. we need all the help we can get. spread the word .

hey everyone ! thanks so much for stopping by . now that we`ve all become more aware of what`s really going on in northern uganda , what can we do to help? it`s actually quite easy , and no it`s not all about giving away your money . i know as we`re still teens that it`s hard to give up your own money to benefit some " kids in another country . " so giving your money is not expected ! instead, use the word of mouth . take a few minutes to tell your parents , friends , teachers , etc about who the invisible children are . it`ll really make a difference . spreading the word is so important . so i challenge you to tell at least 2 people about the invisible children this week - when you`ve completed this little mission , perhaps cmnt , telling us about your experience . even tell other xangans about it ! think about what can be changed once more people find out . can`t wait to hear the news !<3
here`s a little more info about this site. so basically, i believe we`ve all got to change. +since most of us are ( teenagers ) it can be quite hard to be helping the world, when we`ve got so much stuff to handle in our own lives. but however busy we are, we know what the right thing to do is. so we`ve got to step up +care towards others. how ? well, first of all, find outwhat is going on in SUDAN; sudan is a country in Africa ( see map below ). there`s a genocide occuring here. you`ve probably heard of the holocaust, which was also a genocide. a genocide is this ; is the deliberate and systematic destruction of an ethnic, religious or national groups ( thanks, wikipedia ). so in sudan, basically, these group of people called the REBELS are killing many africans that populate the area. in fact, hundreds of thousands have been killed, for almost no reason at all.
--I know, it sounds pretty horrible already. +what`s even worse ? children in UGANDA ( a country south of sudan ) are abducted from their homes and taken captive as child soldiers. these are what we call, the "invisible children " . the children, from ages 8-14 are trained to kill. i can`t imagine all of this, plus the horrible conditions of africa ; disease, and many kids are orphans.
this isn`t right. thankfully, there`s an organization called the invisible children. they created a documentary that a few guys filmed on their trip in uganda. check out their website here +read more about this wonderful organization. take less than two minutes to watch the youtube video below, which is all about the organization . i hope you`ll feel inspired like i am. it`s a whole lot of overwhelming information to take in. do your part. let`s end this.
